The Red Marble Starfish, Fromia sp., has a characteristic red and white marbled color and nicely proportioned limbs that are instantly recognizable. The Red Marble Starfish requires a tank with plenty of live rock and a sandy substrate, constant salinity, away from puffers or other natural predators, and in a tank with plenty of algae and microorganisms for the starfish to eat its omnivorous diet. It is reef safe and will not harm any other species. The Marble Star can be housed singly or with others and should never be exposed to open air during handling.
